The day of St. Elias, the patron saint of pietrărenilor is conducted under the auspices of City Hall a great show involving all the souls commune and that is a good time to displaying the heritage of singers, dancers, craftsmen, and especially a time for socializing and discussion about life, nature, politics, love and the activities in which they engage each. On this occasion it occurs usually smoked curd and famous celebration when everyone can taste the area's two traditional products: Pietrari brandy and smoked cheese after a famous old original recipe. Each could receive a Bulz curd wrapped in smoked polenta. Everyone hopes that this recipe to become a leading local brand fame commune in time and Wallachia throughout the area. On the same day held contests (contest woodcutter, small craftsmen contest), folk parades, folk dance festival with young and old, etc.
Other manifestations maintain good will and joy, and traders come from other lands proudly displays foods produced with hard work and sweat. Also according to tradition, by St. Elias eat, for the first time, the new harvest of apples and grapes, walnuts and peanuts.
